Kendrick fans expected a rap album and got just that. What they probably didn't expect is that the album would be as personal as it ended up being. It's also not like Kendrick didn't try his hand at more radio-friendly songs on the album, because he did. They just didn't stick.

It's not the same thing with Drake's album at all. No Drake fan expected him to make an entire album of Dance/House/Electronic music. Everyone was expecting a rap album.

It’s an accessible summer album for people to vibe to. Bad Bunny dropped a summer album in a foreign language and he’s doing well. We should expect Drake to do even better.

This makes zero sense. Bad Bunny makes the type of music he typically makes. The album he gave his fanbase is exactly what they expected from him and he gave them 23 songs worth of it. Why are you acting like HN is the kind of music Drake typically makes? Or you wanna lie and act like when he announced the album, every Drake fan in the world was expecting a dance album? Drake is a rapper. More than 80% of his discography is rap and he makes an entire album of another sound entirely. Hell yes, it's very experimental for Drake and the kind of music he usually makes. Acting otherwise is just being disingenuous.

Y'all were the same ones who acted like him making One Dance/Controlla wasn't a risk for him at the time because it ended up being a hit but he'd never done anything like that at that time and the same thing applies here.

A risk/experiment in music doesn't have to mean music that's never been done before or music that isn't popular in some region in the world. Musically risky/experimental music is relative to the kind of music said artist usually makes.

I agree it’s a experimental for Drake and I’m glad he took a risk. That doesn’t excuse him from being compared to his peers.

We didn’t know what to expect from Bad Bunny. His last album had rock songs on it lol. He started his career doing Latin Trap. Since then he’s floated through different genres effortlessly. All of his albums sound different.

They will be painting false images about him and his popularity and that should not be allowed to happen. It could affect his status in the long run. Social media is too powerful these days. Sad twitter people are already doing it to get a lot of RTs.
