Let’s wait until those first week numbers for the next Drake RAP album come in before we start making bold proclamations like this
Nigga, hush. Kendrick is supposed to be the #1 guy in the game right now after vanquishing Drake but Drake is still the #1 topic of discussion. Kendrick can't do anything without Drake being brought up. He still isn't outdoing Drake on the numbers front.
No, a diss track being your biggest song just means the world only cared enough to support you that much because it was at someone else's expense. They hated someone as much as you did and that's why they supported you for that particular song. It wasn't because they loved you or even loved the song for that matter.
Especially when the guy the song is about is legitimately the biggest hitmaker in rap history with dozens of mega hits that have absolutely nothing to do with beefing you or anybody else.
Kendrick might not mind NLU being his biggest song right now but I bet he feels differently 10-15 years from now when he's still known best as "the Noy Like Us guy."
There is a less than zero chance that Kendrick will ever be remembered as the “Not Like Us guy”.
But him winning the biggest rap beef in the history of rap music will absolutely be a big part of his resumé
People already remember him for his old songs:
Swimming Pools went crazy on Tumblr in the past
they gone blame it on jahron and “Drake doesn’t do well with collabs anyways, wait for the solo” then it’s “well this was being advertised as a mixtape and treated as such”
Nah Divine already pulled out the excuses for the Party collab album to not sell well (which is fair, I don’t expect that project to sell crazy either)
But Divine’s own words were that Drake’s rap music is what sells the best, and that his next rap solo album is what should be judged when it comes to numbers
that whole “he can’t do anything without Drake being mentioned” take is so disingenuous since we are still in beef time and haven’t even hit the 1 year for Like That

I guarantee that Drake’s next rap album sells less first week than GNX.

Also everything Drake does these days is tied back to Kendrick as well.
They are gonna be intertwined for a while. Possibly forever

Especially when the same is true in reverse as well. Everything that Drake does nowadays, gets Kendrick mentioned as well. It’s not just one way. These two will be forever intertwined
if this is accurate its pretty much what i expected except for euphoria which is surpringly. i aint mad tho

Great minds
Sunday is gonna be a tough time for Drake stans
We will be there for the grand final.
idk why y’all think leaks are okay on this site, ESPECIALLY leaks relating to the SUPER BOWL

GKMC and DAMN. are both currently getting more daily streams than every single Drake project as well
Yes, it is. But that doesn’t diminish or belittle his career whatsoever. He won the ultimate rap beef on the biggest stage in the history of the genre
I'm not saying it does. But you're delusional if you don't think there's a generation of kids right now who only know Kendrick as the Not Like Us guy. It's not because he doesn't have other hits but they don't know them because he went 7 years without scoring a smash hit and then the first one he got just so happened to be Not Like Us.
I know Kendrick has bops. You know that. But that's because we have been here from day 1 and know his discography back to front. The 12-14 year old kid who is registering his first real hit as Not Like Us doesn't know that. Doesn't help that it's also the song being platformed the most by him for almost a year now so it'll stick with that generation of kids as his staple hit.
All I'm saying is that having a defamatory diss track about another man as your biggest hit will be something you eventually come to resent. That's why he's spent months trying to make it into something deeper and bigger than Drake. "Oh, Not Like Us is spiritual. It's about uniting the West Coast. It's about having integrity." All cap and cope because he's trying to change the narrative about it being what it really is: a diss track aimed at the nigga bigger than him.
I guarantee that Drake’s next rap album sells less first week than GNX.
I'll hold you to that.
crazy that after the last 12 months of well calculated moves people still have the audacity to think kendrick cant pull off this setlist and make it work

And there’s a generation of kids who only know Drake as the God’s Plan guy, what’s your point?
