Not at all this beef went way worse for Drake and Drake career and personal as a whole is so far removed from anything we've seen in rap yet I don't think it works either

The difference is that now they have all the social medias, streaming platforms and etc to promote their music

Their music is way more accessible than before and it's very easy to blow up today
Everyone that has money to record songs and pay for commercials, etc, can become rapper, there are way too many untalented people out there

Streaming wasn’t a factor until these artists were already 5+ years into their careers with a classic under their belt. The only social media that really played a major factor into their early careers was blogs since most social medias we use today were still in their infancy outside of like Facebook and MySpace (which was dying quickly). So to use those factors against them just doesn’t make any sense to me when they did what the goats did before them before the aspects you mentioned became major factors. Them niggas still had to promote to fans to get in their cars and go to a store and buy a CD and they did it successfully and timelessly
