An R&B song, by a black man from Compton, a black woman from Jersey, that samples Luther Vandross and Cheryl Lynn, produced by a black man from Compton, during black history month, was played at the Super Bowl and will be the number one record in the country next week.
That alone in itself is a win.
Luther really is something special men
track is incredible. wish kendrick would link up with knxwledge again or even nxworries
I always wonder if these artist know what our favorite records are. I know they use the metrics to know what’s most popular but I hope Kendrick knows we would be happy with an album full of momma type songs.

If a video comes, I hope they do it justice (they usually do) cause this song gonna be around for a minute.
They claimed it was the worst halftime show of all time yet the stimulus has been never ending
Something doesn’t add up
Gropium!

facts, i know flylo been trying for years at this point to make a full project with Kendrick.
Never thought he would top how big he was during the damn era, what a legendary year for dot
Pointless stat. Been saying that for years.
But of course, a lot of people who don't even know what the number means wants to get involved and hate on people who are trying to teach them the meaning behind it. World is cooked
For the 100th time. All these numbers are merely icing. It in no way is an indication of skill or quality but popularity and momentum.
Kendrick fans are simply gloating on the fact that a year ago, Drake fans would’ve used these numbers to back up claims of him being the best.
The biggest difference is GNX was considered one of the best albums of the past year and Drake has had one of those in years.
I hope this explains what’s happening. It’s a lot going on but keep up.
All the records being broken and numbers being discussed is overwhelming tbh. With that said, thank you Kendrick for not allowing any of this to affect your music quality.
Salute to the only king in this rap thing
The best thing about all the success he's having is he never had to sacrifice his vision and artistry to reach these heights, did it all with integrity. And he dropped to pimp a butterfly as his sophomore album after the insane hype he had coming off gkmc. Of course damn exists and that was also him on top of the world, but this time he's also breaking records left and right so it feels like a bigger moment
@bMass28 Insane.
