A few takeaways for me:
1. I think he’s acknowledging that the battle got a bit far gone and he does feel culpability to that.
2. I think he’s also trying to say this was a table resetting culturally as giving justification for killing the party…he says this before on “Meet The Grahams” regarding crashing the party.
3. It’s a bit dangerous bc like with TPAB, when the album didn’t lead to this huge cultural shift, I feel he could be setting himself up to fall short of the savior role that he sometimes sees himself in and then distances himself from. He was obviously disillusioned by that role last go around when the dust settled. We’ll see what the next album aims to be. I thought it would be more happy go lucky but no longer do after listening to this. So he may feel discouraged again. Idk we’ll have to wait and see…
Heavy on that third point. He should avoid putting himself in that position especially after Mr Morale and its messaging. This song and MTG both give me savior complex vibes so I'm hoping he keeps that type of messaging off the album
Oh yeah she's clout chasing in a video they set to private 10 years ago. Man what a clout chaser am I right fellas
did you watch the video
"oh it was some rapper..." as if some unknown
"kendrick lamar....?" as if he wasn't the biggest rapper alive at that time

It's definitely also about blackness and how people relate to it i mean he literally said we don't wanna hear you say nigga no mooooooooreee
Watch this next record be filled with attempts at chart toppers and his fans be like this is a very layered and dense record. There are so many layers of irony behind this elaborate diss on the culture.
This is the year we find out if you guys actually care about black music
They s***ted on mr morale, they dont
i hope you're right, i want the other 4 stocks he got in stock
Looks like we’re getting more
Niggas be tweeting like Kendrick their dad
Not one person got banned for saying "tick tick tick" like it's cool to make fun of the life clock someone is on because of a disease But apparently having an opinion on a dead guy is wrong?? Nice. This is ok?

My brother in christ TPAB wasn't even out yet. He was doing Maroon 5 and Sia features and that was a show he was co headlining with a washed up 50 Cent ffs. Kendrick was barely bigger than Cole back then much less Em, Drake, or Ye who were the top 3 commercially in 2014

Ur right but I mean that he’s angling it as white people tryna put themselves into the archetypal rapper image when they aren’t
Not necessarily the listeners or critics
