So obvious, as an artist, if thats not what youre on anymore, you will respond to it somehow so people can finally stop expecting that from you - just like people were dubbing this song as a "diss" at first
And Lecrae had a viral interview about Kendrick n Drake on the beef a day or two before the song, thus which leads to the song being created very recently
