I mean I didn't enjoy the first 5 episodes of HxH (2011) version so I don't think ima all of a sudden enjoy the 1999 version just because it's more faithful to the 90s anime art style and much shorter

personally, watch the 1999 version until you run out of episodes. the 2011 anime doesnt really develop a distinct artistic identity until the last big arc.

It’s funny I watched the first 5 episodes of hxh dropped it then came back years later and loved it. Give a chance. The show picks up once they leave the tunnel
