I said it earlier but Kendrick quickly became Mr quotable overnight it seems.

As outspoken as Kendrick is rn, I highly doubt he will do this

Unlike Ye who can adapt well to controversy, Kendrick can’t risk getting blackballed cuz he got a family to feed and a label to run with artists to rely on him

Kendrick will most likely drop a DAMN pt2. sprinkle in some anti-industry bars and call it day

I get it, but Kendricks fandom will
be very quick to catch on if they feel they are being led on by a fake revolutionary that actually does not take any risks.

I MEAN HE COSPLAYED AS JESUS FOR GOODNESS SAKE.

All you mentioned will be damaged if he shows blatant signs of lacking authenticity that’s his whole appeal, being someone who life told to be every stereotype in the book and he became so much more than his environment.

He needs to start taking real risks or he loses his protection. Once that’s done then the likes of Drake putting money in the streets becomes more effective.

As a huge Drake fan Kendrick is already solidified in the culture, there’s nothing more for him to prove

Just enjoy these last few years of his peak

The fact yall read these tracks as him being some type of revolutionary is prob why he tired of being famous smh.

Not really bro. I guess it can be read like that but imo its just him airing his grievances about the industry.

    It’s metaphorical

As a huge Drake fan it’s clearly literal and the fact his fans haven’t started looting yet is embarrassing

    It’s metaphorical

    It’s irresponsible

    Talking about real things happening

But talking about your “metaphorical” violent actions about it.

    It’s deeply irresponsible

I actually agree, but someone would not be wrong if they interpreted it as literal.

If he said “I want to see the people march and let their voices be heard” is that a call to action or metaphorical deep thoughts?

That’s why it’s irresponsible in general for Kendrick to say that.

You think the purpose of the song was to get people to commit acts of violence?

As a huge Drake fan well now you have to reprimand every writer for everything they write and create, every painter that paints harsh pieces, every director that direct films with tough themes

Rappers shouldn’t be held to higher standards than other artists

Yes, he both alludes to this and directly says this multiple times to ensure it does not get misconstrued

I can only speak on black culture, and I gladly reprimand anything to come out that encourages violence without a just cause.

I actually believe Kendrick’s cause is just, I just think it is irresponsible to put it out there but not mean it.

Again this is a sentiment Kendrick himself shared on euphoria.

The industry has taken money from artists with billion dollar net worths if they try rebel lol

Kendrick is not risking that especially if he’s trying to build a brand like PGLang

Yea, tell us what is going on inside kendrick’s mind
