ValentineExactly. This literally just happened between 2 of my homies. They recorded a song, one of my homies did a verse and liked the song but was unsure of releasing it.
My other homie wanted the song out cause “he needed to see his vision through” much like buddy who used the beat. So he re-records the other verse as his and gives my homie who didn’t want it out writing credits and splits.
My homie who didn’t want it out was PISSED. My homie who wanted it out didn’t see the big deal. We had to explain to him pretty much what I said where it doesn’t matter if you got the splits right, if you pay me now what I’m owed, it’s the principle that my work was NOT approved to be used and you still did because you made up an assumption criteria that tells you “oh, I can use this. They’ll be cool” :vlosereave:
Wild that the homie who re-recorded the verse even went to those lengths. It was completely lost on him what the problem was.
And this is why rappers still check with their features for a go ahead even if the verse has been recorded.

There's apparently AI vocals on a song that was once vaulted for the Yandhi LP that never happened. It's on V2 now with said AI vocals. I could be wrong but that's how I understood it

Nah, it has to do with the fact that Pac died on the 13th, Friday is the 20th, 7 days later.
