Mods are a laughing stock
How long would a drake one take to get deleted off the whole site, despite his decline being much more noticeable?
someone should try
What exactly is it about the sound that you do not like? Let’s talk about it
Do i have to break it down to you to a scientific level? I can't really talk in music terms and especially not in a language that isn't my mother tongue. I just don't like the production on a lot of the cuts. Like i said i feel like most of em lack something. Whether that be polish, character etc (and don't come at me with counters of certain tracks, because there's certainly gems on here that do satisfy my needs production wise)
I feel like Baby Keems influence is all over this album, he brings out a certain goofiness in Kendrick that i personally can't really appreciate all that much and the same goes for the way he flows on a lot of the cuts.
Then you have the facts that some joints on here are just subpar (imo) compared to his other work. We Cry Together is corny, his vocals on Crown don't work like they did on a cut like YAH. from DAMN. which i absolutely love. Some unnecessary features. I know everybody likes Kodak on here but i couldn't enjoy it personally.
Never called this album bad so i don't know why you feel so pressed about me not ENJOYING something. Live and let live brother

What’s your original language?

I mean bro it’s a music forum and i’m just tired of blanket statements and calling s*** “mid” without explanation. I’m glad you explained in depth what you didn’t like cause it’s a music forum and we need to have more discussions like these. I appreciate you for sharing your opinion bro
Mid Steppers worse Kenny album. Not up for debate.
Agreed, I love Kendrick but I never go back to this album

All good my bad if i came off a lil hostile but the same way you done with not having actual discussions (i feel you on that hard, i be typing big ass paragraphs on here a lot just for some people to reply with a meme lol), same way i'm kind of done with people thinking i'm not being truthful or fair when i keep it short and brief
Again, def some songs on here i do love. But that's expected because Kendrick is one of the greatest artist in hiphop of this generation. I guess i just expected more. It didn't HAVE to be full out jazz/funk-rap like TPAB. It didn't even have to be conceptual like that album or GKMC. DAMN. was pretty accessible and i enjoyed that album a lot
This album just isn't for me sadly. It's still ''good'' compared to most recent hiphop albums i guess but in terms of his discog this is by far the project of Dot that i'll be replaying the least
What’s your original language?
I'm off Indonesian descent but i barely speak it cause grew up with my white momma since dad went to get some milk so it's mostly Dutch lol. Why?

Always wondered how music in a different language would affect how ppl enjoyed music. I listen to quite a few albums in different languages but I mostly enjoy the vibe and Melodies.

Same for me, i can understand most of English perfectly what i meant with that post directed to bro was that i'm not familiar with musical terms. And especially not the English ones. So when somebody asks me to elaborate on why i feel a certain way about a piece of music, it sometimes gets hard to explain because i can't resort to things as specific as i'd like to.
When i didn't have a full grasp on English yet (when i was a kid), i'd mishear lyrics all the time and that resulted in me feeling an emotional connection to certain lines only for me to find out years later it said something totally different

That’s fair bro, I respect your opinion 100%! To me, it’s his most relatable piece of work and I absolutely love the production choice, songwriting, flow and themes so much. I do think that the baby keem influence can be noted as Kendrick’s influence since he kind of gave him the sauce on DAMN.
well when the pinnacle of the critiques on this album are “he says he’s not your savior but he’s wearing a crown on the cover/live performances”
or “this album is boring, and i can’t play it at a party” then idk, maybe someone isn’t getting it
It's perfectly fine to think an album is boring. Everyone doesn't listen to music for the same reasons lol

what was the craziest thing you misheard?

I'm glad you enjoy it. I don't mind it that much that i can't. That comes with the territory since Kendrick is a true artist that always tries to cover new ground which i def can respect
Maybe his next one will be an album we'll both be able to enjoy
You conveniently missed all the post that are making it seem like everything that like it are pretending though lol
But you have a problem with the other way around?
Shut up boy you ain’t slick.
Who in this thread is saying people are pretending to like it?
what was the craziest thing you misheard?
Oh i wouldn't be able to tell you any specific lines. Just know that it happened all the time when i was younger. But i'm getting old so my memory is failing me rn
