Imma keep it real, they should’ve got over Rocky’s southern influence cuz
1) he was clearly still proud to be from Harlem he made it a point to shout out his hood on like every song on LLA
2) the blog era had niggas taking influences from all over due to the internet. Kendrick was def rapping over east coast inspired boom bap early in his career too
3) I could tell you as someone that was there during that era the youth did not care cuz they saw him as an east coaster

What is funny is that greatdivine and others in the past have accepted that observation over the past 5 years. No complaints. The caveat was that it was spotify doing that in order to make money off Drake. So they know Drake had direct helping hand from streaming labels whether it was asked from him or not.
