I think he sounds good with this style, it’s my 3rd favourite of his albums. It’s not a criticism, it’s just the poster I quoted was making an example with this album of it displaying Kendrick’s regional sound, which imo it doesn’t

That's what I'm saying tho. The west coast is his region. California is his region and he represents all of it. That's the bigger picture. Can we narrow him down to just Compton? Sure. But he's bigger than that now. Just like when Snoop Dogg from the LBC made Candy. So this album is a good example of displaying that
