To your point about GNX not being a conceptual album

The Luciferian/reincarnation concept is actually littered throughout the album just very, very subtly outside of reincarnated and man in the garden

The intro tracks hook plays into it as well. although, it went over most people’s heads

If I asked folks right now what does Reincarnated mean to him and how it gets him through his day to day he just going to say "its the best" on some toad s***

I personally took the concept of Kendrick, being extremely present starting with the feb gnx IG post, facing his reckoning concerning the events that took place this year and making a statement that he is not going anywhere anytime soon. That’s why reincarnated’s placement as the 5th track choice was so intentional and a shift for a song you would usually find as the closer in his past albums.

Wacced out murals being his PSA on the aftermath beef, squabble up carrying the West Coast celebration energy since NLU and planting a flag on his win, luther being an affirmation to protect Whitney from the world, man in the garden being another statement of his place in rap history as he digs deeper frustrations with the current state of it all.

But reincarnated is really the shift of the album with Kendrick repenting at the end of the song to God for the carnage he caused this year and vowing to use music for a more productive purpose. Then in Kendrick’s still being a Gemini with a wicked sense of humor, goes straight into tracks like tv off (the celebration of the Super Bowl), love letter to LA in dodger blue, reconciling with his departure from TDE in the heart pt. 6, showcasing other LA artists in GNX, and then personifying his pen in Gloria. And of course, the placements of hey now and peakaboo are sprinkled reminders that he is not afraid to pop out as the boogeymen.

but none of these niggas are God they all have had an album slump the longer the careeer goes. Controversies. Moments where they werent good at selecting beats or writers blocks. They are human beings not AI and I appreciate that
