Rap is a beautiful genre cuz of the diversity. Look at 1998.
You had DMX's first two albums, Juvenile - 4000 Degreez, Busta Rhymes- ELE , NORE, Jay Z - Volume 2 and Big Pun - Capital Punishment on one sideBut then you also had Gang Starr, BlackStar, Lauryn Hill and Outkast on the other.
A lot of the modern audience would refuse to engage with the latter releases
