Yeah I thought for awhile his voice had permanently changed but he’s got an amazing grasp of his vocal range. When he re-recorded his Bad Blood verse in 2023, it sounded almost identical to his recording in 2015 and the last verse on Reincarnated, he literally slips back into the vocal layering from 2011/2012 effortlessly.

it can be kinda hard to parse kendrick albums and evaluate them critically cos there's so much noise around every release. he is also a big like normie pseud rapper (I love a lot of his output but this is true!) so a lot of stuff gets immediately gassed up.
