i have no interest in this film but i remember watching the falcon / winter soldier tv show (pandemic was a desperate time) and it was soooo egregious in how it tried to simultaneously be political but also not political. like it would be less offensive to just avoid that kinda stuff entirely. so basically long story short i reckon this film does the exact same thing
Even if that’s true or not, you’re still batshit insane
zionism is the belief that *srael has a right to exist as a settler-colonial state, which inherently requires the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians
everyone contributing to genocide should die. that’s not a radical take, it’s very lukewarm actually.
you know every israeli is part of the IDF and contributes to the subjugation of palestinians correct? do you know anything at all or are you just talking out of your ass?
Yeah, people over 18. A 5 year old Israeli child has no control over where he or she was born

sure, I’m not talking about kids. once you’re old enough to understand what you’re doing.

“things in America are really bad right now, but instead of getting angry about it, just trust that the people who made it bad will make it better” was the entire show’s message lol

Both of y’all just said every Israeli person should commit suicide. That includes children

you’re posting about how worried you are for children of genocidal freaks when those genocidal freaks are actively killing Palestinian children
f*** them kids

This ain’t it

well I’m telling you now children aren’t included, you gonna keep crying or what?
i like the MCU too, so i’m going to catch up on what happened
i’m just not going to watch this specific movie
it’s not a difficult concept
You don't have to watch it. But to be s***ting on it and getting things about it completely wrong without even seeing it is corny as f***. What is hard to understand about this? You've had people itt telling you that for two months now

Eh there's an arms race between the US and Japan for control of adamantium. I'm sure later down the line it will be revealed that Japan did get their hands on some and they use it to make the MCU version of Silver Samurai who will likely appear in a MCU future X-Men movie.
The most political thing in this movie that's relevant to the real world is the growing distrust the rest of the world has towards the US, along with Sam Wilson recognizing why Steve wants Captain America and the Avengers to operate independently without US government involvement.
Outside of all that this is probably the least political of the Captain America films. Which is disappointing, but apparently Marvel got in a lot of trouble with the US Army for Winter Soldier. So I guess they've been having to tone it down immensely hence the reshoots in this movie. I'm sure many of the cuts/reshoots are probably more related to the Isaiah Bradley character than the Ruth Bat chick. I mean...a Black super soldier who served as "Captain America" for the US government while Steve was frozen in ice, but was imprisoned and experimented on along with other captured Black super soldiers? Yeah I can see why Disney would wanna cut that out or tone it down more lol

i can s*** on a movie for including an IDF actress playing an overtly *sraeli character who will undoubtedly become a bigger deal in the MCU in coming movies without watching it
Sam Wilson was a very minor character in his first movie & now he’s Captain America
i don’t wanna hear s*** from you when they inevitably make an MCU TV show called Sabra down the line

You sound like you desperately want them to make this character more important/relevant than she will be just so you can save yourself from being wrong...again.

skill issue

would be like a more lit version of The Happening

the MCU has no one-off characters except for villains who die in their first movies, and even Killmonger came back after dying
even Trevor from Iron Man 3 came back in Shang Chi

Okay and if this chick comes back she's just gonna continue to be an ex-Black Widow. If even that. Towards the end of this movie she was relegated to being a coffee b**** for the actual important characters

the existence of the character is enough, doesn’t matter if she made a 5 second cameo
Like one knock I have for the movie is that it has odd pacing moments and weird jumps. But I'm just gonna chalk that up to the cuts and reshoots they had to do during the production. It's not enough to completely ruin the movie, but there are some scenes that definitely feel like they had more meat on the bones for character building but were cut out.
Yeah they apparently had loads of reshoots, which usually means a film will be trash but it worked out overall but yeah a few cuts are noticeable and probably more obvious on rewatch
