I think the AI debate makes people look at every single line a lot more critically because they’re trying to find cracks in it, as opposed to how it would be listened to if it had been delivered as a full package.

There’s been plenty of very realistic sounding AIs posted in response to this, and there are multiple spots on the Kendrick leak that sound like AI masking. The way some of the words end so abruptly and the flatness/monotony of the vocals throughout suggest AI. But it could also be the way the leak was recorded/low quality.
I’m not saying with certainty that it’s AI, I’ve gone back and forth on it. If it’s real, it could be a solid intro on the finished version. If it’s fake, it’s a convincing fake.
I hear no masking brother and Ive done several critical listens and wrote down every lyric from the clip for ya'll
At no point are there any clicks, pops, abrupt, stuttering, jittering, spectral noise, cut offs of words or anything else to suggest that this isn't a natural performance
Poor mixing and a monotone delivery don't prove anything

The way he sounds so alive on the singing Hit Em Up part is crazy. That’s the kind of thing AI struggles with in my experience. That was super expressive on top of being melodic. People get more critical of this stuff when they’re examining for AI but Kendrick vocals been sounding weird since Damn and low quality references have weird vocal moments
