OVO treats writers well. think abt it. the majority of a writer's money comes from splits on the songs they worked on, meaning their paycheck is directly proportional to the popularity of whoever they write for. an industry standard split w OVO will pay better than a standard split w basically anyone else, just bc of how popular Drake is. it means OVO can afford to pay their guys like they're really part of the team, and on top that OVO is loyal to their writers. they tap the same guys album after album, so not only are u getting paid better than most writers, ur also getting more consistent work than most writers. it's a pretty sweet gig.

only way i could see a writer being the mole is if someone feels like they're bigger than OVO and wants more clout. wouldn't expect that from writers who have seemingly always been comfortable working behind the scenes.

I think an OVO affiliated producer is more likely. Someone who's obviously very close with OVO rn but has made a name for themselves regardless and would still have a career if OVO cut them off.
