An alarming amount of people think violent criminals aren’t still human beings
If they think of them as irredeemable monsters, it makes it easier to condone the horrible conditions they have to face in prisons. It also makes it creates distance between them and the criminals, because no one likes to believe that they’re capable of doing horrible s*** once provoked.
