If Q dropped CrasH Talk a year before it released it would’ve got a more positive response imo. The expectations from fans were higher than a Kendrick release at the time lmao

Problem with the situation they're in is the wait raises huge expectations , and when expectations are not met, fans ends up disappointed and feel cheated because they've invested their lives in the music the artists makes.

They can wait, it's their music so it's their right to take all the time they want with it but they should know that playing the waiting game is not worthy when you have people on the roster who can't exceed those fans expectations.

Tbf they have barely put any albums out since then. SiR has released some good projects, and Q didnt live up to expectations. Redemption was good imo, although not as good as 90059. I do feel whatever Zay drops is gonna be good, aswell as SZA and Kendrick. Soulo aint dropped a project even near the level of Control System. I even f***ed with the Longterm Mentality series more than his last 2 albums

I dont really f*** with the commercial wave post 2016 besides ctrl (yeah, that includes Damn), you also forgot to mention the black panther soundtrack.

I hope they focus more on quality and less on radio play/streams this time around. They have the talent to do it.

Kendrick can drop at any time, he can take 4-5 years if he wants he deserves it, but the rest of TDE/Black Hippy are lazy as f***. Not sure who decides the release dates but the management is awful. Initially I was defending Top Dawg but man they are wasting opportunities. Dave Free was the only adequate person in terms of management . I really hate when labels/musicians act as they are working for CIA, always with the mf soon etc, f*** you all, we deserve some information, a honest approach.
