yea it was kinda ass ngl but Kendrick is a rapper I just love to see win, bc I hope it inspires mc's that have such a wide ranging vision

I want upcoming artists & creatives of all types to see how far they can take it.
especially for Black artists who often get pigeonholed by the industry and told they won't sell if they try too many things, or put a message in their music, or focus on making a great album experience instead of catering to the playlists, and to ME, Kendrick is one of those guys that reminds me, it's still even Possible.

and even then, he's been in the game almost 15 years now, so it doesn't really apply the same way to a person just starting now, but I hope it just keeps that spark alive in people, you know?

I like to root for him too but it gets a little redundant when someone becomes the critics' darling and just wins by virtue because it's what they think they're supposed to do.

It was a good performance. As someone who has followed his career since I was 15 listening to Section80 it was incredible to see him reach those heights, but I don't think things that are just 'good' should be winning the biggest awards
