He did until GKMC, dropped a project every year. And probably would’ve dropped sooner than 2015 if TPAB wasn’t such a left turn for a sophomore debut.

He dropped 5 projects between 2011 and 2018.

The only real gap was between Black Panther, a point when he was almost oversaturating the game, and Morale. He had writer's block and it took him out for 4 years. Other than that, his longest gap was 2.5 years, which is basically what Tyler does every time.
2-ish years is a really healthy gap between albums. Gives you time to tour, process and refine.
