gkmc was just peak production, story telling and anthems in a time when the game needed it most.
everything beyond that has just been a more fine tuned, grandiose iteration imo. same stories, similar perspective with just a little twist, and a lot more boring

More interesting yea, but more enjoyable?
I personally find him more enjoyable now, but I understand why people would enjoy Section.80/GKMC Kendrick more. He wasn’t really experimenting like that back then and was more straight hip-hop.
When it comes to being interesting though? No question he’s become way more interesting and versatile as an artist since 2015. One of the best things about Mr. Morale is how many different pockets he went into.

I thought he was initially supposed to drop in 2020 but the panny happened
