    GoodbyeCarl

I wonder why lol. Drake and Ye really runs s*** here. Is Kendrick not that interesting or not on social media enough?

Depends on the angle of the thread. If it’a negative Ye thread then it will get numbers . If it’s a positive Drake thread it will get numbers. In order to get traction you got to somehow involve drake and Ye into Kendrick threads

I believe this was actually recorded for TPAB and it was cut and he gave the beat + SZA parts to Jay Rock for Redemption

I think it could have fit on untitled if anything

Voice wise his voice got higher pitched during the DAMN era so it lines up to being from 2014/2015. And it should've been the closer on Untitled for sure. Hell I wouldve liked it as the closer for TPAB too. Shame he scrapped the song entirely and gave it to Jay Rock.

kendrick is the GOAT. his pen is still underrated despite the amount of love he gets. wouldn’t be surprised if he has references for every TDE member

He also done lyrics/references gor others too

Such as Vince's part on Black Panther because Kendrick felt he fit better than himself due to Vince's fish album

Part of the reason I feel like TDE has been struggling since Kendrick left is because he was SUCH an integral part of the whole creative process. Working closely with Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, Q, SZA etc.

Part of the reason for leaving was probably the burnout and expectation that Top and the rest of them had for Kendrick. He really was "the leader" of that whole group. He still an artist at heart though that loves creating so now he writes for Keem.

People dont give him enough props as a writer.

He one of the rappers who I feel like truly understands song structure and how to craft a great song beyond just writing verses. Which is a skill that can set you apart from everyone else.

We all heard pieces of MMATBS way before its release. But the way Kendrick put those together in actual album is what makes him standout among his peers.

Album making is way different art and Kendrick has mastered it alongwith his trusted producers.

Pretty sure he wrote Jay Rock's verse on Money Trees too. Some parts definitely have a Kendrick cadence
