Lil Bibby is a non-factor now but he wasnt when he blew up. Still an artist. Juice wrld is dead. I also named a boogie. I can name a lot more but it's pointless because you just gonna try to name niggas and then I'll just point out they also influenced by rap.

You acting like naming rappers from the past 5-7 years is a bad thing. Why cant I name some1 that blew up in like 2014 right after the blog era? Maybe cause nobody was being influenced by kanye huh

No he didn't. Drake is literally the reason it's apart of every rapper's formula. That's drake's style. It was never kanye's. In fact, Lauryn Hill has more influence than kanye when it comes to singing cause she's the godfather of this s***. She was the first to try it and drake made it accessible for rappers to do it on an emotional non-conscious level. Especially male acts. All 808s did was give artists an option for a sound. That sound is useless without drake rapping and singing. If Kanye so influential why all the r&b acts sound more like drake than kanye

Why are we talking about how rnb acts sound when this is a rap discussion?
Go thru the list of most relevant new rappers and you’ll find more cases of Kanye/808s being cited than Drake and that’s the truth of it.
That’s why you have to bring up guys like lil Bibby and rnb artists

Also I LOVE how you dodged the fact that you tried to lie about Uzi being inspired by Drake.

Male r&b artists are starting to rap now and acts like 6lack, bryson tiller, and brent faiyaz are effectively hip-hop artists at this part. Hip-hop and r&b at this point are damn near what aaliyah and mary j blige were doing when mary created hip-hop soul. It's impossible to talk about rap without mentioning certain r&b acts that actually sound like rappers.

This is false. Im bringing up older artists because I'm referring to drake's influence since he started. Rappers didnt just start singing in 2018 nigga

It’s not even that Bibby isn’t relevant or that he’s old. It’s that he doesn’t even make music anymore and hasn’t for years so he’s a weak example. Travis Scott named himself after cudi so he’ll always be a better example than Bibby

And it’s not obvious lmao. You won’t cite a quote because their is none. Uzi literally called himself 808s Kanye in a song and cited C3 as an influence.

Drake and Cole are clearly influenced by Jay Z so i don't know why the f*** you have them on that list, just lol. This era of hiphop/RnB has Drake influence written all over it, Kanye stans can't deal with it
