Euphoria implies that Kendrick had at least SOME semblance of respect for Drake’s craft and accomplishments. All of that is gone now obviously. Why would Kendrick hold back against someone who falsely accused him of DV and led his (completely innocent) family to be harassed for weeks on social media?

I wanted a more exciting, bar-heavy battle than what we got, and I wanted to hear some genuine criticisms of Kendrick’s lack of accountability for the role he arguably played in commercializing blackness too because that NEVER gets talked about. Those are interesting conversations that could’ve been at the center of the biggest rap beef in history but there’s really only one side to blame for how things ended up.

As I said in the previous post, I don't think anything justifies lying about those kind of stuff. However, I completely agree with this sentence: ''I wanted a more exciting, bar-heavy battle than what we got''. This is the thing that makes me sad about the beef. We've been waiting 10 years for this and it finally happened but what did we get? Nothing that we imagined. Such a wasted opportunity and it will never happen again

Exactly. I used to teach at a middle school and coach a sport there. The only contact I had with any of those kids was a GroupMe with all the male athletes and all the coaches. No reason for me to be messaging any of them directly.

And being a male teacher, I was always aware that s*** isn’t about my intent, it’s about how it can be perceived. So I would never even allow myself to get into a situation where someone could perceive something inappropriate.

Drake lacks the depth, critical thinking and media literacy skills required to actually put Kendrick to task about anything. There are valid criticisms to levy at Kendrick that he hasn't already addressed, but it would take someone like Lupe to express them properly.
