That's what I thought and people been gaslighting me to think otherwise. Seemed like Drake wanted to be friends but Kendrick didn't want to either because he just didn't like him or his background or what he represents, which is fair, but that upset Drake. But Kendrick uses the "it's rap" argument to hide behind instead of just saying "sorry I just can't be friends"
lol why tf should a grown man have to say sorry I just can’t be friends
Drake can’t talk heavy in his raps and get sensitive because niggas look at you like competition. If you scared just say that. We didn’t even know there was an issue between the two until Drake said it in an interview
Regardless of if you personally thought Pusha won/lost. No one can say he out barred Drake. Duppy goes hard in the gym or on a cruise. SOA was a Memento nice but you don't go back to it often, Duppy was Inception something you could watch everyday
Duppy freestyle made Kendrick not drop any music for 5 years, unironically
Drake really need to wait until after the second album drops. I’m hearing Metro and Future have a song with Push and Common with CB and DRAM on the hook… could be curtains for drizzler
Forgot about the DRAM situation
Another opp for Drizzy
People would definitely clown him regardless. Jokey they'd say he's coping/deflecting, serious they'd say he's tryhard or not on the same echelon
I feel you. Some people will never look at Drake as a real person. Everything he does has to have a narrative attached. He can't even crack a joke on stream without being "zesty" I definitely think if he responds like Duppy it will be "too serious". He has to find a middle ground. He should go for Omertà vibes, bars but relaxed/not intimidated
Its probably less serious than that for sure, but I think for drake he felt like he went out on a limb for Kendrick in taking him on tour specifically, and giving him his own song on his album. It’s a little more than just “making music”.
I’m not saying necessarily that Kendrick owed drake anything after that but in drake’s eyes he probably felt like he should get a little bit of loyalty or mutual respect for supporting him during his rise. And I did say lowkey. From drakes perspective it could be a lowkey snake move to just take and then not show love after that.
But my thing is.. what did Kendrick do to Drake that is looked at as “disloyal”? It can’t be simply name dropping him on the control verse. I wouldn’t wanna be friends wit a nigga that sensitive either
This the girl from euphoria? Need her to wear one of those WET t shirts by Yeezy

They both been sending shots a long time post control, like Kendricks BET Cypher.
You right, so that’s another reason why I wouldn’t say it was crashing out. It’s more like one of got sick of dancing around

That’s entirely his fault, at least in the last 5 years where he’s realized that making hits and mediocre albums while maintaining relevancy through making a meme/influencer out of himself is easier and also more lucrative than making interesting albums
Honestly Nevermind is good though but it’s obvious he doesn’t wanna commit to doing that regularly
