Nah the thing is people are complex multifaceted individuals, you cannot truly make assumptions on someone, this epiphany comes as you attain more information and experience with age (this isn't meant in a condescending tone). Your moralistic nature which is to be admired prevents you from seeing things in a nuanced way and will cause you to have these kind of emotionally charged exchanges.
