But the fact she hasn’t been able to connect anywhere close to that level again makes me question her pen a little bit. I do like Liability a lot though and most of the second album.
Just feels like the shock value and gimmick of “omg she’s not like the other girls” did a ton of heavy lifting for her
that was a big song for her, sure. but those first two albums for her showcased a young artist with immense talent, and the public and the industry were ALL on board with it tbh. the 3rd LP has slowed that down now.
