serenadeit strikes me as insecurity, i don't think drake could accept the idea of dropping an album without hits. same reason why he threw jimmy cooks at the end of honestly nevermind. ironically though rich baby daddy would have fit just fine with a bunch of R&B songs and still would have been a hit, he didn't need to tack on a whole yeat song lol.
FATD was a different album in concept than the one that was released….just as CLB, Scorpion and Views 🙄

see, but that's not exactly what i was tryna say
cause i think Jack is brilliant at times. and has contributed to some of my favorite alternative/pop music of the last decade. but maybe they just got into a certain mode after folklore/evermore than Taylor doesn't really care to shake. like i'm not sure if she left and collaborated with a different producer that SHE would wanna leave the sound she's cultivated since.
so it's kinda whack when all of the blame is on the producer for me. people are like "go work with dev hynes!!", well if you don't like her music now the s*** will prob still be ass to you then haha
