I think it has to do with the content and the polarity of the reception. cmiygl had positive to lukewarm reception and it’s content wasn’t really anything new. Like its a good album dont get me wrong. Mr morale had people loving it or hating it and that argument is clearly continuing to this day and it’s content is relatively unique. I think that’s the sign of a great piece of art.
