If he responds…
Legacy on the line. Has no choice. Everyone will always bring up him being scared of Kendrick but not Meek, Ye, and Push for obvious reasons.
That’s not the case though because the jumping off point is Drake comparing himself to MJ so Kendrick is just taking that to a logical conclusion in his favor, he isn’t making the comparison himself he’s just working within it
And compared to Prince, yeah being MJ is extremely unfavorable
I wouldn’t go that far. I’m about as big a Prince fan as someone from my gen can be and I prefer him to basically everyone…..but I wouldn’t say MJ is a negative parallel to him. Just a different career ambition and goal that he dominated in achieving. The key thing is I don’t think MJ musically suffered to achieve that goal.
But anyways, it’s not that deep I do get the line and what it insinuates
And how many times has Drake mentioned Push since 2018?
Push bars also pretty vague on that track. Young Thug was the one who made a big deal about it for no reason
“You know reality bites, it's chess, not checkers
Those empty threats only sound good on your records
If the patois is not followed by a Blocka
It's like Marked for Death Screwface, without the choppa
Let 'em rush the stage when you made like Sinatra
Only to hide the blade flyin' back through LaGuardia
I might even buy a home out in Mississauga
On my walls, have scrawls of Tschabalala's
Many dolls, that're sprawled, they my Ill Nanas
Make a call, she gon' crawl, bad gyal Patra
I'm involved and absolved, I am Godfather, hush”
This was vague?
Everyone knew what this was about bruh lol. And Thug made a big deal about it because dissing on a posthumous album kinda distracts from the point, celebrating the main guy
Rule 1: don‘t always listen to the fans. They don‘t really know what they want and will probably slow your artistic progress down e.g. Lil Uzi. Do your own thing, be innovative and make great music, keep setting trends - this generation especially will switch up on u if you get too one dimensional (e.g. DaBaby). Reinvent yourself (like Ye) without losing your touch.
Game is Game

yep
fans are fans for a reason social media wasn’t there for the peaks of this s*** to change the course of how this s*** supposed to go lol
Nigga dropped last year too and can’t even crack the top 20 let alone 30
I don’t pretend to be smart. But I’m also not the one with multiple posts crying about using the word “views” for TV viewership
So yes, you do get upset about weird s***
No one was crying about that lol I commented the first time legitimately confused thinking you were posting views, then I told you why it confused me
But f*** that let’s get back to the other thing
So you hold the songwriters hall of fame in high regard?
Drake will do what’s best for him business and image wise
What’s best for his business is to respond after sneak dissing for 11 years.
Kendrick obsessed with MJ if that line a diss that would be wild.
lets get it straight kendrick was not dissing MJ. the line was simply a play on the fact that prince outlived MJ. like in a literal sense.
it was dumbasses on here that started dissing MJ lol
gives credence to the hov sending his minions after drake theory
Maybe with Meek, but Push likes to taunt and his beef really goes back to Clipse vs Wayne and Kenny has his own agenda here
What’s best for his business is to respond after sneak dissing for 11 years.
Kendrick started it
tbh
like, beef is part of rap culture and i truly believe Kendrick was being playful w this. i don’t think he seriously dislikes either of these niggas. but wit all of the s*** going on in the world…
it would be great to see the “Big 3” come together in a way that actually benefits people outside of the Big 3
idk jmo

That Control s*** was even a real diss. Nigga got butt hurt and wouldn’t stop talking about it.
