O7OXOI don’t necessarily think Cole hurt his legacy tbh. I mean he was the clear no 3 before the apology and that hasn’t changed. What he did though was miss a big opportunity to stake a claim that he’s as good as Kendrick and Drake.

To this day I think the theory that Cole got word that this could get ugly and wanted to keep certain skeletons in his closet secret is the most believable.
I think Cole's just a p****. Think about it, why was he even ever considered big 3? That was all Hov propaganda and the media throwing him a bone because he was a safe choice. I think it finally hit him that this is real and he'll actually have to out bar Kendrick and he knows he couldn't do that even on his best day. Palestinian OoziI would argue drake’s biggest Achilles heel is that he really does want the legends’ and his peer’s appreciation but also on his terms. Which is totally normal to want that praise from people you think are the best at what you do. That’s why he’ll try to get kendrick on first person shooter apparently, be in frenemy zone with Kanye in perpetuity, do a song with future when they’re not necessarily on same page. I think that’s why he gets sensitive about this kind of stuff. Not even trying to make him out to be a softie bc I can see how it would bother someone.
Yeah, he's already a certified star, but I can see why that extra support from people you grew up listening to would mean a lot , just as the cherry on top
