But the song was good enough to have Kendrick in his feelings.

His verse was centered on j Cole remember? You can excuse yourself now

Saying meek was an easy target is revisionist history

No it isn't Meek was already being clowned at that time for always yelling in his songs and s***. Drake pounced at the right time.

  • SignedTwice

Cole has dropped 1 album since 2018 and done like 5 more features than Kendrick

Dropped The Off-Season. Dropped ROTD3 + the Dreamville Gangsta Grillz tape. Did over a dozen more features than Kendrick. Compared to Kendrick, that's a lot of activity.

He wasn’t at the time but he didn’t have this goofy ass image he does now, and I guess drake played a part in that.

Drake really played that s*** perfectly because he was still a respected “street” rapper at the time

A lot of people said meek was gonna win cuz he came up battle rapping

He not lying. Meek was an easy target but he know ever since Pusha never to beef with a real rap lyricist

"Meek was an easy target," like y'all weren't bringing up videos of nappy-headed Meek freestyling to prove he'd end Drake until Drake dusted Meek. F*** outta here

Now Meek was an easy target

I really do think he felt left out and it annoyed him. It sounds petty but since when have rappers not been sensitive?

Kendrick raps for the first time in months and because Drake and Cole haven't responded in 3 days, they're scared?

Testament to Kendricks delivery in the verse he’s convinced people he’s taken it personally. This whole verse was just him saying ‘im ready to go’ and he took it further than vague subs he recieved that you have to argue links to him

His response is the clearest thing weve heard yet. Guy said f*** the big three lmao

Btw i dont think theres much of a timer needed for a response, but it has to be better than the vague subs theyve both dropped before this

On the flip side, i do agree Kendrick cant now vanish without dropping s*** for a year or two. Hope he keeps this s*** up

Yall exaggerating about meek. He was a high energy gangster rapper but not some lyricist. When he ran into a lyricist he caved, got on a podcast and told niggas he let them down.

He isn't a top tier lyricist but he did wildly underachieve in that beef tbh, worse rappers than him have performed better under pressure

Meek is kind of a dumbass in general tho so it's not surprising

  • IcePac

Exactly lmao they say anything 😂😂😂

They love acting like Drake has ever had the grace of picking targets. Niggas come at him and he's forced to respond every single time. This goes back to his little back and forth with Common. He's only ever lost ONCE but they'll act like he has a history of running from shots and act like he isn't more battle-tested than Kendrick and Cole combined.

If cole got the brunt of it, why this nigga daddy and friends talking on Instagram

Cause Dennis will speak on anything related to Drake for clout lol

I'm not saying it ain't about Drake, but most of the verse is about him being the best and there being no "Big 3" when those are all direct responses to Cole, he dropped 2 Cole song titles in the verse too

  • Mar 26, 2024

The DDay one he was on 3 songs if you want to say he’s been that much more active than Kendrick then go ahead but imo it’s not far off

And he's only now "ready to go" after not only watching Drake/Cole outwork him for years but seeing them link-up and basically hammer in the point that he's been MIA on a smash hit record. THAT'S what FINALLY got him to get up and react. So it's funny how people are trying to spin it like Drake and Cole are the ones who now have to prove something like they haven't been steadily rapping their asses off while Kendrick was missing lol.

    Revision

We gotta remember at the time Drake was clowned for not being that kind of rapper. That battle and IYRT really changed the shift for a little bit. He got humbled by the Push diss, but Duppy was still a great reply. Adidon was just on another level
