He’s dominated the game since he took over. That embodies more than “sales”
He can really rap with the best too.
He might even be better, dare I say, than Kendrick with wordplay.
When it comes to rap beefs typically word play/and charisma win the day unless there’s some kinda real exposing going on.
Drake defo could beat Kendrick in a battle. But Drake and Kendrick have dominated the game in different ways. Drakes has dominated in terms of being the biggest rapper and hit songs and being a constant presence every year, but in terms of album quality and even quality control hes not been as good. Kendrick has dominated in terms of album quality, artistic excellence and critical acclaim.
Drakes domination has definitely covered more marks but I dont think that makes him the better rapper

He didn't just magically wake up and decide to "compete." Nah. Drake and Cole made him feel left out and he started seeing the narrative shift from it being him, Drake and Cole to it being just Drake and Cole, especially after his last album didn't have anywhere close to the sort of cultural impact his albums usually has. That's what has him out here beating his chest. Nothing else.
Left out of what? Kendrick has been on his lone wolf s*** for years now and his protege is literal family. I don't think he's sitting at home with his wife and kids steaming because Drake and Cole went on tour together and bigged him up on FPS.
I really just think he's bored with the current state of the rap game and Metro gave him a really enticing platform to stir s*** up. But hey, I don't know the guy personally.

Just listened to some of Rory and Mal’s spaces talk about this.
Rory talks about the hypothetical that Drake reach out to Kendrick while he was making “For all the dogs” to do a song together and Kendrick said okay, but then never did the song, so Drake did it with Cole.
Sounds like Rory knows something
