JbreezyondeckDefinitely. A lot of dog piling going on but I do think they are founded in some truth. I think Drake just has leaned too hard into something he wasn’t, but he’s always been a hip hop head since he started so at the very least I have no doubt if he goes back to making more grounded music especially since he can take a lot away from this as far as content goes it should be a good opportunity to win back some public perception
When you listen to the older introspective songs like fear, or even the newer ones like the remorse, you can hear that despite all the bullshit the day 1s are the ones that keep him as grounded as possible.
but somewhere along the outside influences, industry, women etc superseded that and changed him
like sure the music has been great over the years but we need to hear in the music why and what really happened that caused the change in energy.
