The way we perceive an artist, and whether we WANT to like something, whether we BUY IN to it, has so much influence on our perceptions
Drake is down there’s no doubt about that
But him being down plus people just not liking him, and him dropping a questionable track has people nitpicking s*** that isn’t even there
Music opinions have so much more to do with benefit of the doubt readings vs bad faith readings than I ever thought
Which is why I think Drake should focus on just dropping pure quality , he’ll maybe even criticbait. We don’t need the summer anthems right now. We don’t need you to drop a flavor for every fanbase when half of those fanbases assume you’re a pedo right now.
