I have a friend who’s bipolar and it’s not that he makes stuff up, it’s that the stuff he knows causes him to go manic. Once he’s manic he can’t do anything with what’s he’s learned. It’s like the part of his brain logically plans things out step by step shuts off so he starts jumping from point to point.
