Yeah, Drake has a better pen game when it comes down to turns of phrase, that type of s*** (although it’s debatable how much he wrote, the points till stands) but I would argue Kendrick’s songs were better as songs too.
Meet the Grahams is one of the most effective uses of horror in music I’ve ever heard, NLU is fun as f***, and euphoria and 6:16 have beats that push them above Drake’s disses for me, even as songs.
I’m not sure who I have in a straight rap off, but I think Kendrick is solidly the better artist who is better at more things and bringing creative visions to life
