There are plenty of reasons to dislike Drake, from being a low stakes liar to his relationships with “women”
The culture bar always seemed weird
the problem is his parroting what he deems to be black, the aligning himself w gangs n criminals, for monetary gain
the opening to family matters is something no black person would do to another, weaponizing the n word

When I moved to dc I dated a mixed chick who kept asking to explore her (and I’m quoting her) “black side” and visit all all the clubs and bars to that effect
Never saw it as malicious, just a person trying to explore a part they didn’t get a chance to grow up
I never saw Drake as egregious as someone like post Malone

Drake bounces from style to style, accent to accent - Hip Hop and all its subgenres, Dancehall, Afrobeats, UK Drill & grime even that reggaeton joint with bad bunny. whatever is trending to push his career, then moves on when it doesn’t suit him anymore. And not to mention the mob ties gangster image he tries to portray when he doesn’t come from that but he thinks that’s what Hip hop is about what he needs to gain respect. it’s not really authentic from the outside looking in. I'm gonna preface by saying idk either Kendrick or Drake, and both of these mfs could be lying for all we know.
There's no issue with Drake exploring his blackness earnestly, but if the only evidence of this is when he got pressed by Pusha and broke out the notes app to explain the blackface, or when he's coming on the defence about his mixed heritage and not outwardly toward positive black empowerment (at least not as often), what grounds does he have to criticize another black man about his contributions to the community? Why does he weaponize the n word to another black man if he is earnest about exploring his blackness?
