not gonna bully the nigga too much for being terminally online.
Thats the same behavior he would engage in.

A lot drake avis went through this just in silence lol, just silently disappeared

Dude came back soon as he heard about family matters coming, only for the drake slander to get even worse half an hour later
Fellas would you rather get a drake album this year but the celtics get to win the championship or have a 3 year drake drought but celtics don’t win a championship for 7 more years

I used to half jokingly consider myself a Kendrick stan, but realized that I'm nowhere near as emotionally invested as the stans I've seen during this beef.
How do you care so much for someone who doesn't know you exist?
This is true. The discourse of culture appreciate vs appropriation is such a thin line on what is and what isn’t. Most of the time it seems to just come down to if the people fw you in the moment. Usually the persons culture that is being “highlighted” is very appreciative in most cases.
I remember 2022, I did Detty December in Nigeria, and Wizkid’s song Essence was going crazy. The remix with Beiber came out recently. A lot of Africans born n raised stateside were lukewarm to Bieber being on the track at best, there was a loud vocal group who didn’t even want him on the song.
Meanwhile in Nigeria the remix was damn near all I heard out there, and they absolutely loved it. They felt like it just gave Tems/Afrobeats/Nigeria as a whole a much bigger and deserved spotlight.
Flipside a lot of Nigerians (those living in the country) unconsciously do try to appease white people. They’ll balk about not having an inferiority complex to whites, but it’s there. The yolk of British colonialism is still strong in the country.
Then he came back a few days later just to talk more s***
i was jus saying in the other thread he literally was having a breakdown waiting for the Drake response

Dude was legit talking to himself about Kendrick being a midget and sulking about not seeing enough pro drake posts, hilarious and slow burn meltdown

Overall i probably wouldn’t have heard certain genres or been more open to them if it weren’t for drake
i’m sure there’s some bitter collaborators out there but there was a positive to any negative side of it imo
Drake has put me on a quite a few songs/artists i wouldn’t have checked out other wise
That’s the best kind of artist (Tyler does that too, etc ppl who sample)
