That’s how you know Kendrick truly won and it wasn’t close. Same s*** happened with adidon. The big Drake fans just took a break from the site

It was; it's a draw > nobody won it's messy > not like us was the red button> it's a slight victory
In future get ready to hear FM was better

because Kendrick would hope the audience isn’t dumb enough to the point where he has to directly reference the song in order for niggas to understand that he heard the song before it even dropped…

you think no matter what Drake would’ve dropped he would’ve released Meet The Grahams? it’s obvious he knew he was talking about his family so he dropped a song structured around criticizing Drake to the people in his life + Drake himself

    it’s common sense lol

I think Kendrick had multiple options for different scenarios

But if I hear someone’s diss track ahead of time why would I not directly address the whole thing in a very specific way as a gotcha? That would’ve hit 10 times harder

    I think that was fine

His issue was, that was all he had and hes not as witty as Kenny to say the same thing 5 times but write it better.

I remember after MTG and FM there was like a bad aura surrounding the beef and then Kendrick made it fun again.

Drake should have waited on dropped something abit more... happier

Yeah he didn’t have enough ammo on dot at all which led to this. Him dropping an actual banger would have def evened the odds out much more

“Some decent people” isn’t direct enough to even definitely mean Dave free either

But it’s also possible Kendrick knew about some kind of rumor about Dave free or that drake was going to talk about that

So who is the “people” portion referring to then, Whitney and his kids

tbh this is all speculative s*** and we probably won’t know until years from now

it’s possible Kendrick skimmed through the song quickly (or even just listened to it, since he dropped roughly half an hour later) and then just released Meet The Grahams

The proof is him mentioning the ring in the song and then Drake showing it in the fm video

    Also..

Wasn't MTG filmed after Euphoria? Cos he goes to the food shop with Kendricks order lol?

    For sure

The theory of Kendrick hearing family matters before making meet the Grahams is just weak to me

There’s not enough evidence and I feel like that’s something Kendrick would have used more if he had that advantage

He said from the jump “I can even predict your angle, fabricating stories on the family front”

And drake had also already forecasted the whole angle on push ups and didn’t try to hide that’s where he was going

Kendrick prepared for that and dropped his “family” diss same night which was well done and planned

I really don't believe this train of thought, I genuinely believe Meet The Grahams was released a smart move tactically because obviously Drake was going to drop a response and obviously he would speak about family as he was alluding to it (and like you guys keep saying he's got a obsession about dissing wives.)

It's not about the audience being dumb enough, it's a HUGE FLEX if you knew so much to say it a lot more outright. The audience would be declaring him an outright winner before Not Like Us is even NEEDED if he was able to clearly call out Drake's lines.

I think Kendrick had some different tracks ready to drop depending on what Drake was gonna say.

Part of how Kendrick won is because he out-manoeuvred Drake from my perspective, he beat him with the releases and with controlling the narrative... not because he has an all seeing eye inside OVO and heard the entirety of Family Matters.

fair enough if that's what you think - why would Drake have kept the scene in the restaurant if Kendrick had publicly flexed it to people though? I only ever saw Drake filming there as a reply to what Kendrick had said, I think it's crazy to think Kendrick knew they were filming there beforehand and THEN mentioned it on Euphoria.

It doesn't make sense. He bought out the whole restaurant for what, kendrick knew he shot it there , drake has moles.

Itt, @Real said groups were closed immediately after the revelation

    Kendrick and Whitney are people

But nah for real again Kendrick said “I can predict your angle, fabricating stories on the family front”

He probably knew something about Dave free was out there, or at least that drake was going to pull more than just Whitney into it. And yes the kids could count

It’s not specific enough why would he not step on it by actually responding and being like “haha I already heard that s***” that would’ve been insane

imo it makes more sense that Kendrick flexes that he can hang out at a Toronto spot whenever he wants because it's safe for him in the city there (and makes a niche reference to a local spot mocking the way Drake does the same with other locations)

AND THEN.. Drake films there to say this is my spot, idk what you're thinking..

Fair enough though, I get your theory is that you think Kendrick knew about the whole of Family Matters beforehand. I think if he really knew Drake had filmed there AND THEN mentioned it then Drake would've cut that from the video and just filmed some more bs in his house.

oh and all Real did was say the GC was cleared after Meet The Grahams dropped, if your theory links to that then why wouldn't the GC's have been cleared after Drake's team got spooked that Kendrick mentioned it in Euphoria?

Even if he knew about the whole video, imagine Kendrick dropped right after and said “that’s the wrong van and I heard that way ahead of time” lol it would’ve been such a W

my bad - that's probably what he was referring to then but I really think it's more he heard "Drake has a diss track ready to respond to everyone".. because Drake disses Weeknd and XO pretty directly and it's weird Weeknd doesn't properly respond / allude to any of it other than saying "you got leaks"

I don't think it's connected to the Kendrick line tbh

Yachty saying he knows he was mentioned on Euphoria before release doesn't mean we start going Kendrick's got leaks in his operation.. I'm guessing all these little details are all shared pretty openly between people in the industry.

Source on yachty hearing it first? Kendrick had no leaks friend

Ima have to disagree there then. He clearly said he had info on drake before Family matters came out and him dropping meet the grahams right after is enough info for me to believe he got some inside info about Drake song. Weeknd also alluding to leaks in they operation just makes the case stronger

Yeah that’s pretty interesting I dunno why yachty said that. If he had heard about being mentioned in the song it would have gotten leaked already surely? Or maybe he’s friends with someone in Kendrick’s camp and that’s the only thing they revealed 😂

Drake basically forecasted the whole angle on Push Ups it’s not like it was a secret

Why would Kendrick not directly adress family matters until Not Like Us if he had heard it before us

In the end Nobody really knows the extent of the mole thing and how much he told Kendrick. You could even be right that it doesn’t exist and Kendrick was just more calculated. The beef had a lot of unresolved questions from both sides tbh

"On the latest episode of his podcast A Safe Place, Lil Yachty spoke on a variety of topics pertaining to his proximity to the Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud. The Atlanta rapper wasn’t too into being name-dropped by Kendrick on “Euphoria,” telling his producer, “I really didn’t want anything to do with it,” after revealing he received a ton of excited calls and texts from friends. He also knew his name was going to be mentioned before the song came out adding, “I knew that my name was mentioned before it came out. I didn’t hear the record but I had got word that I was mentioned. I wasn’t surprised.”

He said it in that podcast, obviously he could be lying... but imo he was being quite genuine in that podcast, hence the backlash from both fanbases.

He spent money and time on a RED BUTTON, no matter what mole talk he heard from Kenny or any inferences to his video, he had to ignore them because in his mind, FM was the career ender, he didn't care. That's why he address it in heart part 6 yapping about snitching its really not complicated

I get your theory bro, I hope you hear my points as well for why it MIGHT not be true.

I'm sure there may have been things Kendrick was aware Drake would mention (maybe because they're true :p ) but I doubt he knew every detail about the video to the extent you're saying, I really think your point about the restaurant isn't true. Agree to disagree ones crodie

Because the stupidity of the wrong van was pointed out by fans, it's the wrong f***ing model. The family talk on FM is addressed way earlier and kendrick reconfronts it on the dear drake verse telling him he shouldn't have dragged innocent people in it.
