Oh just off that alone sure but they’re doing 2 different things
Reasonable Doubt is definitely a better album but its concept is so much more grand. Its about Jay coming to terms with the fact that he’s leaving street life behind, reflecting on good times he had and things hes gonna miss, but also the regrets he has and his morals and greed battling it out.
I feel like Mr Morale is also introspective but its less about like the world and more about trauma, sexual abuse and how it effects our families and community, relationships and self worth.
I don’t see how reasonable doubt is doing what mr morale thinks its doing, i think mr morale does exactly what it sets out to do, if you don’t like it then thats cool but i think it perfectly sets up the concept its going for.
Obviously Reasonable Doubt is the better album , its one of the most introspective debut albums we’ve ever heard because Jay was already so established in who he was as a person when he made it
Thank you
Only thing touching RD is BP2 lol
The fact you are a self proclaimed lawyer with this kind of judgement.
God help your clients
I know you guys are having a moment right now but yall speaking insane rn lmaoo 4:44 the best s*** hov made in like 20 years since black album cmon lol
God I really hate your tone and writing style crodie, seeped in it is some unnecessary 'us and them' undertones, it makes engagement really deflating knowing you talking to a 12 year old but you are a legal practitioner, it's that competitiveness, and I will deal with that
Bad name but Drake lost
The reputation of Kendrick fans is that they take themselves too seriously. The fact that to you me voicing an opinion about an album negates the days of bile I’ve been spewing about drake and his Stans just proves that right. Go ahead, prove that statement right again with your next response.

Drake still lost bro. He lost.
Drake still lost bro. He lost.
I’ve never praised drake in any way but you think I do by voicing an opinion is just sad cult like behavior
Thank you
You also have to factor in relatability for listeners
As someone who definitely prefers Reasonable Doubt, Mr Morale hits me harder on an emotional level because I’ve personally dealt with all the things Kendrick is talking about on that album as a child, especially mother i sober. So you can’t say Jay did a better job of speaking on they experience because Reasonable Doubt doesn’t touch on that
But to my dad Reasonable Doubt is the most relatable album ever, because he was speaking to a lifestyle that he is familiar with
The albums speak directly to different people so I wouldnt compare the content, but musically Id def go reasonable doubt thats one of my fav albums

I think most Kendrick critiques center around his fans more than his music
It’s a brilliantly realized album
Crodie, you described it perfectly. Oh MG
everything is intentional, but am I giving him too much credit trying to assume he unintentionally made it less of a classic and more of an experience?
I aint grow up in nyc i might f*** around and put mm over reasonable doubt
Wyling
Why is reasonable doubt being compared to Mr Morale in here
Cause Kendrick is better than Jay Z so they started comparing albums i guess

They want to prove it isn’t good by comparibg to one of the best albums ever.
Done big bro...
Thanks for reminding me. I read the article a few days ago and meant to post it in the thread, but I forgot.
Keep doing your stuff on these bozos, there's some great ones by medium and the Atlantic but b**** ass pay wall,

Cause Kendrick is better than Jay Z so they started comparing albums i guess
I don’t think Kendrick is better than Jay Z but I do think he is on the same level
A lot of niggas on here who talk about Jay Z dont even know anything about Jay Z besides listening to a couple of albums but speak on him with so much authority

that’s me
What’s gas lighting is seeing a 26 year old man kissing a 17 year old after she informed him of her age, texting multiple 13 and 14 years old teens, and dating women a minute after 18 after knowing them since they were teens and expecting people to just chalk it up to a mentorship program
I never said it was a mentorship program?? I’ve given my take on this stuff and it doesn’t excuse his actions.
Cause Kendrick is better than Jay Z so they started comparing albums i guess
I don’t know about that lmao
Like most times when I talk to niggas about Jay Z i can tell they’ve maybe heard black album and blueprint and think they understand him as an artist and why hes so great and they dont
that’s me
I can tell lol
They want to prove it isn’t good by comparibg to one of the best albums ever.
Don’t want to reply anymore after being called out?
Nigga ovo jersey talk like a jock who listens to rap, a jock who talks loudly and arrogantly too
