Drake was not the GOAT to me personally even before this

I really do think Drake is obviously one od the greatest that we’ve ever seen. He’s a great lyricist, probably the best hook and feature artist we have ever seen, obviously his run is insanity

But theres just some things with Drake that stop him from being the goat

-He isn’t a top tier lyricist, i do think hes really good and this alone wouldnt be enough to kill his GOAT argument but still
-Drake definitely has a classic album but his discography is inconsistent imo, he’s been on a run of releasing albums that are bloated and kinda all over the place. He definitely has one of the weaker discographies overall when it comes to top 10 guys, which is a shame because Drake was building a great album catalog at one point
-He has had ghostwriters, I don’t think that stops him from being top 10 but i feel like that just isnt a good thing for the best RAPPER ever to have on his jacket, best rap artist it doesnt matter though
-He has lost 2 out of the 3 major beefs he’s had. Don’t get me wrong Drake has killed a lot of niggas off with subs and feats but he doesnt have a good record anymore when it comes to head on beefs

I def think Drake is one of the greatest but he has too many things going against him being my straight up #1

Good points but I'd argue he's had more ppl come back and say his work are classics than any other artist. His work ages very well. When nwts came out ppl said it wasn't better than take care only for most drake Stan's to say it's his best album. If you're reading this it's too late was "ok" now considered a classic. Views was once considered bloated only for it to shift the genre into its most main stream level and also sell a milky first week and have more jams than some artists have their entire career. So far gone once thought as just a tape is now goated. Thank me later in retrospect is considered one of the best debut albums. When honestly never mind came out ppl ragged out only for ppl to come back and love it now (how many drake haters itt alone like heelkylo have admitted this lol). Her loss, in retrospect people already goating that too now lol. What I'm saying is I think his work only appreciates most of the time and while he has a bloated catalogue SO DOES YE and ye is literally one of the goats idc what anyone says what he's done or how much I might not like him as a drake Stan lmaoo. His music is TOO GOOD and all his work has appreciated. Drakes projects get better with time cuz he's the most hated artist of all time for the genre. As time passes I think more ppl will appreciate even more work. Drakes problem is over saturation which you've mentioned. But his disco isn't diamonds in the rough, it's the rough coating a horse of diamond lol

If it's good I will listen as a Canadian hip hop fan I'm rooting for him and definitely hope all pdf s*** isn't true

However I thought his last 3 albums were dogshit. But so was Views so you never know when he's gonna pull up with a classic.

I do think Drake got the better of Kanye overall also CLB was better than Donda

But i mean beefs where they actually made direct diss tracks back and forth

I think Drake has beat a lot of niggas before it went to full blown beef. I dont think Drake is a scrub i think he woulda washed the floor with Cole if they were beefing 1v1 but 2 straight up L’s is just bad to have on your resume as the GOAT, I really would give him a pass if he only had 1
