NewCopeJustDroppedNot sure. I don’t think shock factor will work against Drake especially after Pusha. He will have to put rap, out aggression and out creative him.
Kendrick is gonna have to play the punchline/bars game too cause let’s not forget that’s drakes wheelhouse and that’s where he’s strongest. If Kendrick can attack with punchlines like we saw him use with the k9 bar AND substance and directness which he’s known more for then we have a good fight on our hands.
I do feel like it’s silly to count drake out tho cause Drake will always win the viral factor as well, his smart one liners are always a big deal and he’s the best braggadocios rapper alive.
Kendrick needs to hit him where it hurts, attack his character, talk about how he’s always in the strip clubs at nearly 40. Talk about how at his concerts he can’t stop doing speeches about how everything he does is to stay relevant, insecure about losing relevancy etc. There’s ways to make it personal without being too personal like bringing up parents/partners. I can’t see Kendrick taking the research route like pusha tbh I see him more as surface level directness, telling us what we mostly know already but in a scathing manner. But then again there’s no way he would have opened this can of worms if he wasn’t prepared/has something crazy tucked away.
Sample usage is gonna be a big deal in this whole thing too I can’t wait to see what they use
