i be saying f*** eric clapton but i’m not mad at a few cream songs or a guitar solo etc but i like making fun of him for being f***ing stupid

    that’s true music enlightenment

    most people are like you

not getting on some quasi-moral superior soapbox trying to tell people that they should feel ashamed for listening to a morally questionable person

clearly you did. are you gonna answer my Eric Clapton question or are you gonna ignore it?

am i a bad person for listening to songs where he’s on guitar? should i look to avoid anything he’s involved in because he’s racist? yes or no?

I mean I’m personally good off white musicians who are racist but you can do whatever YOU want to do.
if you’re trying to take an angle of saying I’m only cherry picking these arguments with black artists and not white artists that’s still weird because you’re just deflecting and acting like a lot of weird and questionable behaviors by those white artists haven’t been called out. Let’s stay on topic

I’m not forcing anything? My point was that these conversations have existed and will exist beyond their careers/after death. yes their legacies are cemented Because of what They were able to accomplish with their art and brands. Especially because in those specific cases, their art is very intertwined with the black expression and in America. We can also admit that their legacies can remain untouched because of Patriarchal systems and the most disrespected Is the black woman.

This is all because I said Kodak was a rapist who probably shouldn’t have been on Mr. Morale. You making it seem like I’m reaching.

and i never disputed whether or not those conversations came up, i brought them up as two shining examples of people who did bad s*** in their personal lives but are known as legends

    that was literally it

you’re the one that made an argument against nothing that i said

Another thing I wanna throw into this is how dumb Drake was for trying to use the “You defended R. Kelly” angle because I still see some Drake fans using that like it was valid criticism

Drake not understanding why he did that really plays into Kendrick’s whole angle
