Tbf he has multiple songs that get played in shopping center’s daily

This isn’t even a shot or anything but that honestly boosts the f*** out of his numbers. It’s why guys like Ed Sheeran get so much streams, They make music specifically for that. A couple years ago someone posted a chart that broke down how many streams were from actual people vs how many streams were from s*** like that. It’s literally the reason that Late Nights song did so good. More actual people at that time we’re listening to Knife Talk by Drake but it couldn’t compete with shopping center streams

I was lurking when Push Ups leaked. I was already rooting for Kendrick going in, but the response was so pro-Drake i felt the same concerns.

When Euphoria dropped I was so excited because it showed to me that Kendrick had what it took to win the beef.

There’s always been something to me that’s grotesque about Drake’s music. When I was younger and more woke than I am now, I was bothered by Drake’s music because it felt uniquely misogynistic in a way other rappers weren’t. When Hotline Bling came out, I felt like it was weird and controlling. Weezer made a song with a similar sentiment that was a semi-joke on their first album.

Over time my autist ass learned that I should treat b****es a certain way, that in part incorporated in the misogyny i had once been against. And i sort of let my thoughts about Drake fall to the wayside. And after all, a lot of b****es liked his music.

Idk the Bobbi Altoff situation bothered me. Like here’s a married woman who destroyed her marriage with someone who loved her very deeply over a crumb of attention from one of the most famous people on earth. And as Drake went into the 2020s, that sort of energy increasingly seemed to surround him. IG thots. Dubai. It’s all so gross and vapid. Godless.

Life’s about more than money and power and clout, yet Drake’s music and aesthetic continued to embody those values. I recently watched Kubrick’s Lolita, and when I listened to For All the Dogs shortly after, I heard Drake talk to women on there in the same way the pedophile talked to 12 year old Lolita.

When MTG came out, i was in the club with a girl and her friends. My friend texted me that Kendrick had dropped again, and I went outside to my car to listen drunk off my ass. Listening to the track was a profound experience because Kendrick painted a picture of exactly what rubbed me the wrong way about Drake.

Keep in mind 75% of drakes streams come from him making us dance and waving our hands

it's the same 20-40 songs carrying the streams, it's not the entire discog. So it's doesn't matter whether he has 300 or 600. Drake could've released another 700 songs but that doesn't mean he would double his streams

Kendrick also has generic hits so there arent any excuses. Just one artist being more popular than the other despite the false narratives haters are trying to push
