If you have the patience and time I say watch the anime, skip all the filler arcs besides G8 ofc. Been watching for 4 years now and am on 600. I would’ve been further along but I took a ton of breaks. I know a guy that got hip to the show and reached episode 750 in like 3 months, so YMMV.

Show is amazing. I’d only recommend One Pace for rewatches as it cuts a lil too much.

If it’s too much of a commitment I say watch the first 500 episodes then switch to Manga, around then is when the pacing in the anime gets notoriously worse but I personally am okay with it
