F*** me, I just made the connection.
Taylor made was extremely disrespectful. Almost made me doubt Kendrick for a second
Looking back you can def see why Kendrick played NLU five times in a row
thats another reason kendrick loses points
you cant use pusha t playbook get your style/ammo
that was lame and you guys admit he wasnt original

Southern Hospitality ≠ fake nice, is far deeper than that
I think y'all focusing on the wrong thing, of course poverty is gonna bring violence. But the impoverished people aren't the ones solely committing violent crimes, or in gangs themselves. Gangs in the South are barely gangs, because the cities in the South aren't set up like California. Excluding Florida and the larger Southern cities
Ain't nowhere safe really. You could be in a small town and because of repressed emotions, redlining, underfunded schools and counties and react violently
Yeah there’s a culture there so people think it’s cool, but the majority of people shooting aren’t from good areas
The same things that happened in the south happened in Cali and the belief that you could be something better is magnified by Hollywood so people crash out differently.
I grew up in the Deep South my whole life I know lol. If you can recognize that it wouldn’t be safe in a small town idk how you’re not getting that from Cali. It’s just different factors and motivations for violence
and lowkey how much a dollar cost is in my top 5 fav hip hop songs OAT.
We had a story in spanish class around that time about a Man contemplating sharing a piece of chicken to a homeland man (turned out to be jesus as well i think). So hearing a similar story in the form of a song was mind boggling
It's such a perfect song, the piano, the beat, the storytelling, the verses, the James Fauntleroy vocals
Taylor made was extremely disrespectful. Almost made me doubt Kendrick for a second
The outrage it caused kinda made it hit even harder ngl

Same. But I assumed Drake made the song cause he got inside info that Kendrick really scrambling to make a diss

What lines in Taylor made hit for y’all because it did nothing for me outside of badly imitating pac
Pushups was more disrespectful to me
Every night I wake up in a cold sweat wondering what the world would be like if he didn’t mention Whitney

Y’all just be looking dumb as s*** just saying bullshit

It’s more so what the song represents than any specific line he rapped. The actual rapping was subpar. We all know what Pac means to hip hop, the west, and to Kendrick himself
Like you have to have a lot of nerve to take someone’s dead idol and then rap as them, basically calling them a b****.
Think there's a dude from St Louis on here who said he went to the same high school with Sexyy Red, and she was always like that apparently.
They are always like that. Agents are never really acting.
But when someone naturally behaves a certain way , incentivising them with money only amplified that, and they never really have to grow out of it.
No one I know likes sexy no one buys her stuff and the entire culture 20yrs and up see it for what it is. It’s not fooling anyone but the children and that’s the problem.

I'm from Detroit but I've lived damn near everywhere and I still have a spot in the country in Mississippi. I'm in Colorado now, and there's far more opportunity out West than down South. It ain't gang culture, it's humans being hive minded and conditioned. None of these places do much on a local level, outside of some Californian and Georgia gangs, or contribute to any of platitude. It just be niggas nigging
The same things kinda happened, but them California niggas spread all that gang s*** when they left California, and from then the industries picked up and exploited that
