One of the biggest reasons it blew to the level it did was all the memes of the video, Drake’s verse memes and the Ye beef. You can’t count out all those additional factors lmao

The song literally rose AFTER the video and didn’t even go number one until like 2 months after release lmao

Nah the song was huge way before the video. I don’t think causal fans knew anything about the drake vs Kanye lines. If I remember right people were doing the mo bamba vs sicko mode thing before the video too.

Also astroworld had crazy hype behind it, sicko mode was not drake stimulus at all. If anything drake needed Travis in this one.
